Excited for spring cleaning

It’s Time For For Spring Cleaning

We’ve come up with some helpful tips to help you get started cleaning this season. For example, why not start with cleaning up your plumbing! Read on to learn all about how drain cleaning and sewer cleaning can help you save money, and jumpstart your spring cleaning.

Drain Cleaning

Now is as good a time as any to have your drains cleaned if you’re behind. Drain cleanings have a number of benefits for your plumbing, including a chance for your plumber to inspect your drain pipes and spot potential problems before they can threaten a plumbing emergency. Springtime is the perfect time of the year to set up a drain cleaning appointment since it’s the start of the season of parties and barbecues. Get your drains and plumbing in order before you invite everyone you know over for an Easter, Passover, Cinco De Mayo, or Memorial Day get together!

  • Drain cleaning services, when performed regularly (about once or twice a year).

  • Clear stubborn clogs.

  • Eliminate slow drains.

  • Get rid of strong, foul odors in your sink.

  • Prevent plumbing emergencies.

Sewer Cleaning

Most people, even those who do maintain clean drains, forget about another very important part of spring cleaning- sewer cleaning. Having your sewers cleaned by a professional is not discussed as often as it should be when it comes to plumbing maintenance. It’s recommended that you have your sewer lines professionally cleaned about every 18-22 months. Why is it important to clean your sewer lines? Failure to maintain clean sewer lines can make it impossible for the waste leaving your home through these pipes to flow away from your home, causing it to back up into your home.

You may be in overdue for a sewer check-up if you experience.

Gurgling sounds coming from your pipes.

Water backing up into your shower or tub, especially when your washing machine is running.

Recurring clogs, or several drains clogging at once.

Raw sewage backing up into your toilet, shower, or sink.

Saving Money

At the end of the day, drain and sewer cleanings are part of standard plumbing maintenance. They help to keep your plumbing system running smoothly, and prevent serious plumbing emergencies, like a burst sewer line, sewage back up, and more! You may initially think that annual, or semi-annual, sewer and drain cleanings are an additional expense you don’t need, but when compared to the price of a burst sewer pipe repair and cleanup, it can save you thousands of dollars to keep your sewers and drains clean!

Let’s not forget that aside from being the season for cleaning, spring is also the season for heightened allergies, thanks to higher pollen counts. Are you ready for the dust and pollen in the air this season?! If you’re not, remember to cleaning on your to-do list this spring while you’re enjoying the nice weather and beautiful blooms.
