Some people believe that the direction of the swirl has to do with your geological location stating that if you’re in the Northern Hemisphere it will flush clockwise and counterclockwise if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere.
That’s right! It’s all in the jets. Although the Coriolis force is real, its effects usually can only be observed in larger scale like hurricanes. The toilet bowl is simply too small.
