Reliable Boiler Repair Services
All boilers require seasonal maintenance to maximize efficiency and avoid repairs. You should also monitor your system for problems and let us know when you notice a potential boiler repair issue. Many of the neighborhoods in our area have hard water. That can cause limescale, which decreases boiler efficiency. Over time, it can corrode the tank and cause other boiler components to fail. That’s why it’s important to flush the tank annually and replace the anode rod as needed.
Should you repair or replace your boiler? One consideration is age. If your boiler is less than 15 years old, a repair can help you maximize your investment. Of course, that assumes a reasonable repair cost. If the bill is 50% or more of what a new unit will cost, we’ll usually recommend the boiler replacement.
If you decide on boiler installation, there are many options for hot water and steam boilers. We’ll generally recommend hot water systems because they’re more efficient and precise. That said, if you currently have a steam system, that’s probably the better choice.
Natural gas is readily available throughout the area. Most customers opt for it because it’s cheaper and more convenient than the alternatives. You can also opt for a condensing boiler. It will cost more initially but can save money in the long term.
