Local Drain Repair & Cleaning
Water should drain quickly in sinks and tubs with relatively no noise. If the water drains slowly or you can hear gurgling, something is obstructing the flow. You also shouldn’t ignore unpleasant smells from your drains. Foul odors typically indicate trapped organic matter.
Often, clearing a drain is as simple as snaking it. A manual drain auger is enough to clear most local drain blockages. A motorized drain auger can break through more stubborn clogs. In some cases, high-pressure drain cleaning may be the right approach. It’s often necessary when there’s a buildup of scale and/or soap scum in the pipe.
Our plumbers can repair drain problems as well. If there’s any corrosion, we can replace those metal components. O-rings and other seals can wear out over time. Our plumbers can replace them and reapply the plumber’s tape. If the PVC piping itself has begun to deteriorate, our team can replace those pipe sections as well.
Drain issues can extend beyond the drains themselves. If you have multiple slow drains, for instance, the problem is likely deeper in the system. You may also experience gurgling toilets and toilet bowl water levels that rise and fall. When this happens, the blockage is usually in the sewer line. Using a motorized drain auger may be enough to clear it.
An alternative is hydro jetting. A hydro jet is a machine that mixes air and water and releases that mixture under high pressure. The force is great enough to break up even years of grease accumulation and tree root growth. We also use a specialized tip to spray the water in many directions. Doing so clears deposits from the inner pipe walls. Otherwise, you’d be at risk of new clogs forming.
